Welcome to Cane Creek Farm, home of the Ossabaw! We are very excited about our soon-to-be-open farm store. Two years ago, Cane Creek Farm moved from Saxapahaw to our new 20 acre farm in Snow Camp, North Carolina. Cane Creek Farm has joined efforts with Dr. Charles Sydnor, owner of neighboring 500+ acre Braeburn Farm, and are collaborating as Wells Branch LLC! Now that all of us are settled in and feeling at home, we're very excited about the recent store opening (complete with rockin' party) as well as the recent launch of several tasty new products.

Sorry, but we do not ship. We are blessed to be frequently featured in regional and national magazines and other publications. This has lead to a flood of phonecall and emails asking if we will ship them some of our pork. While we continue to service our existing long-distance accounts, we no longer ship our meats. Why? Because we are in the happy position of having more than enough local demand for our products. (Click here to read our F.A.Q. on the subject.) We believe strongly in building strong local economies and agriculture. Do a quick search in your area and you are likely to find a local farmer selling the quality pasture raised, grass-fed, all-natural, organic and great tasting meats you are looking for. A good resource for finding locally raised meat is the website EatWild.com.
Cane Creek Farm is situated on 20 acres in Snow Camp, NC, in the heart of Alamance County (but we share close to 600 acres of space with neighboring Braeburn Farm). In addition to being home to the Ossabaw Island Hog, we also raise Gloucestershire Old Spots, Farmer’s Hybrids, and our very own Crossabaw breed, a mix of the Farmer’s Hybrids and Ossabaw Island Hogs. The lively animal population on the farm is comprised of a Noah’s Ark of breeds including a variety of Heirloom Breed Chickens and Saxony & Cayuga Ducks, Dorper Sheep, Nigerian Dwarf Goats, Miniature Donkeys and New Zealand Red Devon Cattle. Visitors to the farm are constantly amazed at the happy interaction of all our species, and many have compared Cane Creek to a storybook or child’s vision of a farm. The farm specializes in Pasture Raised Heirloom Breed pork and is owned and operated by farmer Eliza MacLean with help from her eight year old twins, Enid and Quinn. Cane Creek is known locally and nationally for its humane treatment of animals and high standard meat. We are endorsed by the Animal Welfare Institute
I seems like yesterday that we welcomed the arrival of our spring lambs, goat kids, ckicks, and pigglets! You wont belive how big they have grown, spending the summer playing in the sun. Our most famous residents are our Ossabaw Island Hogs, a breed that is quickly becoming known for its amazing flavor and unusual fat profile. All of our animals are given free range, grown without the use of antibiotics, and never fed any animal by-products. Cane Creek Farm pigs are raised the old fashioned way, and the difference in taste is astounding! If you’ve only had commercial pork products, you simply won’t believe the difference.
